Hi! I'm Astrid Motilla, but online I go by Geometridae: computer scientist, mathematician and artist.

Why "Geometridae"?

Geometridae is a family of moths. Their caterpillars are inchworms, the tiny ones that loop across a leaf as if they were measuring it. The name literally means earth-measurers (Greek geō, earth + metron, measure). For someone who loves geometry, it was too perfect to pass up.
